Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire when she was five, Emma enrolled at the Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor by the age of six. Over the course of several years, she attended the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing dance, acting and singing. In a school play and a Stagecoach Production, Emma was the lead at the age 10, and acted. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been selected for the roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It set records in terms of opening day and weekend sales, and it was the highest-grossing film of 2001. It was highly acclaimed by reviewers, and so were the performance of three new stars. The Daily Telegraph in Britain and the Daily Telegraph in America, widely read, called her performance commendable. Emma received five nominations for her exceptional performance. Later, she won the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actresses of an Film.
